Director: Stuart Beattie
Starring: Caitlin Stasey, Rachel Hurd-Wood

What a top film. Not knowing much of John Marsden's series of books & with a relatively unknown cast, I had little expectations going in but came out thinking this is one of the best movies I've seen all year.

Seven teenage Aussies from Wirrawee go camping in a remote spot in the bush the locals call 'Hell'. A week later they return home to find all hell has broke loose as Australia has been invaded by a foreign country & this time around the boats are a little bigger than usual.

With such an explosive action packed film you still need good characters to tie it all together & this lot of young Australian actors have done a superb job bringing you into their world. What a concept, next to nuclear war this would have to be one one of our greatest fears. I can only imagine how the Aborigines felt on that red dawn long ago... ROBDIDO comment
