Director: Chris McKay
Starring: Will Arnett, Michael Cera

The Lego Batman Movie is a fun family film with a plot that is clear and easy to follow, making it enjoyable for all ages.

In the colourful world of LEGO, Batman (Will Arnett) has to save Gotham from the villains that plague the town by learning to join forces with his newly adopted son Robin (Michael Cera), Batgirl (Rosario Dawson) and Alfred Pennyworth (Ralph Fiennes).

Headed by the Joker (Zach Galifianakis), director Chris McKay incorporated bad guys like Lord Voldemort, King Kong and the Wicked Witch of the West who are unconnected to DC Comics, adding an unexpected surprise.

The script was cleverly written, full of witty jokes that was suitable for both adults and children. It is packed with non-stop action, yet the tension in these sequences is released through Batman's spontaneous singing and rapping.

From the onset, it is clear that this is not your conventional film, incorporating scenes which mock the typical superhero genre.
