I guess if your drug of choice is adrenalin and you need to get your kicks, then joining the EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) team and taking on a few tours of duty in Iraq is the way to go.

A no nonsense, no frills story of a U.S. Army bomb squad, and the shit they have to go through in Iraq. Mainly following three soldiers played by Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie & Brian Geraghty, we get to see their different views, not on the war but on staying alive and the best way to go about it.

This film is great. It doesn't try to be anything special, doesn't have that many battle scenes and the use of relatively unknown actors brings a truer dimension to the story. Although not 100% accurate on their methods in disposing bombs it concentrates more on the psychological thrill of war and how it can grab hold of you.

Some guys just cant stand a normal everyday life, even if you do have Kate waiting for you at home. Maybe it's the bomb disposal suit, makes you feel untouchable.
