Review of the 1999 film Star Wars The Phantom Menace
Re-released in cinemas in 3D, I went along to the Sydney premier and enjoyed all the fan fair that anything to do with Star Wars usually attracts. As for the movie, well it's the same movie but in 3D. The pod racing scene in 3D is fantastic...

Director: George Lucas
Starring: Ewan McGregor, Liam Neeson

George Lucas created a few movies back in the 1970's that where so popular, any movie that followed would sure to be a hit. The Star Wars saga is so loved by the fans that they have forgiven him for this pretty boring prequel of the series. But we can't be too harsh, the anticipation and expectations after all these years were pretty high - and it isn't that bad as most fans have made out since it's release back in '99

The first movie of the Star Wars Saga, (remember they started the story at number IV') where we go back and find out how it all began. Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) are sent to Naboo to sort out some political shit. Along the way they discover a disturbance in the force -- and it's not Jar Jar Binks' annoying voice.

Re-released in cinemas in 3D, I went along to the Sydney premier and enjoyed all the fan fair that anything to do with Star Wars usually attracts. As for the movie, well it's the same movie but in 3D...Doh! - nothing real special here. Although the pod racing scene in 3D is fantastic...
May the force be with you in 3D...always... ROBDIDO comment
