Director: Guy Ritchie
Starring: Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law
The game is a foot, again. Guy Ritchie has upped the anti once again refining his movie making techniques and polishing his trademark style that works so well on the big digital screen. Using the same slow motion action and fight scenes from the first movie, Ritchie has mastered the timing to make still look fresh and engaging.
Influenced from Sir Arthur Conan Doyles short story 'The Final Problem', Shirley's arch enemy Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris) is assassinating key European figures in an attempt to spark hostility between nations. Holmes and Watson are hot on his trail and get some help from brother Mycroft (Stephen Fry) and a Gypsy fortune teller (Noomi Rapace).
Head to Head you couldn't get two better performances from Robert Downey Jr and Jared Harris. You can see their minds ticking as they clash chess pieces trying to outwit one another. Team this up with a perfectly paced storyline, increase in firepower, classic Holmes and Watson antics, and you have yourself a top movie. So simple - It's elementary really... ROBDIDO
