Director: Jaume Collet-Serra
Starring: Liam Neeson, Ed Harris
Grand-daddy action hero Liam Neeson returns to the big screen in Run All Night, an explosive adrenaline-pumping crime thriller that will have movie-goers at the edge of their seats.
Hitman and alcoholic Jimmy Conlon (Liam Neeson) is remorseful for all the killings he has committed over the years. When he kills mob boss Shawn Maguire's (Ed Harris) son to save his own, Shawn vows an eye for an eye, and endeavours to kill Jimmy’s son.
Outrageously implausible scenarios are countless in this film but that's what Liam Neeson fans demand. Action enthusiasts will be captivated by the escalating body count, death defying car chases and graphic violence in which the very squeamish will turn away in horror.
It was fresh but unusual having Mr Neeson who's always typecast as the good guy play an unlawful character, but more surprising was the unpredictable climax which will leave audiences stunned.
This run of the mill, assembly line action flick which has a tick in all the correct boxes, will most certainly be a box office hit in line with his Taken Franchise, but will not generate any sequels for reasons only obvious once you've seen the film. JAKE
