Director: Joseph Kosinski
Starring: Tom Cruise, Andrea Riseborough

There are a few movies that have taken Science Fiction cinema to the next level, and I am pleased to say this is definitely one of them. The magic that I witnessed on the screen was pure heaven. You really have to appreciate this on the big screen with the full sound effects and vibrations rocking your seat. Absolutely brilliant movie going experience.

The Earth has been invaded by aliens. Man defeats the aliens with Nukes, but in doing so destroys the planet rendering it virtually uninhabitable. They then build an arc in space and the plan is to take what's left of humanity to Titan, one of Saturn's moons. While they prepare for the mission, Tom Cruise and Andrea Riseborough are sent back to Earth to look after drones that are defending the water hoovers... just watch it!

Joseph Kosinski, the guy that did the TRON reboot appears to know what he is doing. He wrote, directed and even did the original comic book. He has also chosen some very cool music like he did with TRON, this time from French Electronic band M.8.3. Apparently they have used some new high tech camera that is just amazing. You really feel like your flying around with Top Gun himself. The tech stuff is amazing, especially the plane and drones that are straight out of the computer game Portal. But it's not just the SFX that make this an instant classic, there's a great twisting storyline and an emotional love story that ties it all together.
