Fasten your seat belts and get ready for a bumpy ride, as the highly anticipated Mad Max Fury Road finally crashes in cinemas. Directed by George Miller who brought the original franchise to theatres some 30 years ago, this octane-charged and action-packed post-apocalyptic spectacular will have movie-goers at the edge of their seats.

Tom Hardy is Mad Max, a loner on the roads since the brutal murder of his wife and daughter. He lives in a world depleted of fossil fuels, over-run by lawless 'semi-lives' whose only rule for survival is 'there are no rules'.

The pairing of this man of few words and fellow rebel Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) whose only reason for survival is the adrenalin she acquires from living a perilous life, may be the antidote required to restore humanity in this tattered world.

Produced on a mega-budget of $150 million, this blockbuster is an action enthusiasts 'dream film', delivering outrageously over-the-top car chase scenes, death defying stunts performed by an astounding team of 150 stunt performers and a mesmerising overload of visually stunning CGI.

For most movie-goers the story takes the back seat - it's overwhelmingly about the thrilling non-stop action, the high body count and the overall deranged feast for the eyes, which is further compounded by the accelerated frame rate for added effect.

A cast of premiere Australian actors bring many eccentric characters to life in this dark, loud and extremely entertaining movie which will doubtlessly spawn a wave of sequels.
