Whatever you do don't piss off a hacker. Especially one with tatts, piercings & heaps of attitude. From the best selling first novel of the trilogy by Stieg Larsson, Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace) is a top underground hacker hired to get the dirt on Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist).
Whilst snooping around she see's he is investigating a 40 year old murder & cant but help sticking her pierced nose in. There are some very disturbing rape scenes, & one is usually left feeling sad for the victim, but in this modern age of high tech gadgets, revenge is too easy and oh so painful.
Noomi Rapace is great & fits the part well, really bringing the character to life. It is quite a long movie, and feels like they wanted to put every little bit of the book in, which I guess will keep the readers happy. I liked the way they did the computer hacking scenes too, using familiar operating systems and applications. Watch this version quick before the U.S decide to butcher it with a remake sans subtitles... ROBDIDO
