From France comes Chinese Puzzle, the final in the popular trilogy which follows on from Spanish Hotel and Russian Dolls. Filmed 10 years apart, these films follow the lives of three friends Xavier, Martine and Isabelle as they travel to other countries taking their problems with them.
Xaviere believes that life is one major complication. Heís unable to make decisions about his future and his love life is a mess. When the lady who mothered his children (via artificial insemination as she was a Lesbian ďat the timeĒ) decides to move to New York to be with the new man in her life, Xaviere follows so he can be with his children.
New adventures transpire, with romantic interludes delivering delightfully funny scenarios leaving audiences in fits of laughter.
Chinese Puzzle is a film about love and friendship, consisting of a bright and energetic cast who still seem to have that mesmerizing chemistry which was evident in the first two installments.
Itís not mandatory to watch Spanish Hotel and Russian Dolls prior to this film, as the flashbacks highlight the most significant happenings ensuring movie goers are not left behind. JAKE † †
