Director: Tim Burton
Starring: Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska
A wonderful twist on the classic children's story by Charles Lutwidge Dodgson aka. Lewis Carroll, retold in amazing visual splendor by Tim Burton and starring his favorite actor Johnny Depp.
I watched this in 3D and wished I hadn't. After Avatar in 3D, it just didn't stand up. All I got out of it was a headache and the picture was dull and lifeless. I took off my glasses and the colors where so much richer and brighter, so you can imagine it in proper 2D.
Alice is all grown up now and revisits a darker Wonderland. She encounters all the original characters and Burton has re-envisioned them with brilliant originality. The voice talent is exceptionally good with Matt Lucas and Stephen Fry standing out. My favorite would have to be the Mad March Hare. He is a crackup! They are all brilliant too many to mention.
The first part of the movie was great, got to see all the great characters and interactions, but they ruin it a bit with a typical and predictable huge battle scene at the end. Nether the less it is brilliant... ROBDIDO
